Cadet Onboarding

So, you’re 12 - 18 years old and would like to join the squadron? Welcome!

Meeting Times

Cadets meet in person every Tuesday from 1830 to 1900 (6:30pm to 9pm) except the first Tuesday of each month, which is remote via Zoom.

Squadron Hangar Address:  7 West Hammerschmidt Drive, Rogers, Arkansas 72756

How to Join

For new, prospective, Cadets we follow a cohort system that allows all new members to receive initial training as to what CAP is and what to expect from CAP membership. This allows new cadets to work together as they progress through this initial stage of getting involved. Once the cohort "graduates", each cadet will move at their own pace.

The cohort process also allows new cadets to better understand the program and see whether CAP may be a good fit for both them and their families. Once a prospective Cadet has attended three meetings, they may join CAP upon application and membership board review. The three meeting requirement helps families understand the commitment that CAP requires of the Cadet and their families.

If interested in learning more and possible joining the next Cadet cohort, please complete the New Cadet Cohort Sign-Up Form.

Kick-off of the next Cadet cohort will take place:

Date:  Thursday, 22 August 2024
Time:  1800 - 1930 (6 - 7:30pm)
Location:  Squadron Hangar

This kick-off allows new cadets and parents to tour the hanger, check out the planes, receive program details, ask questions of squadron leadership, and meet current cadets.

Only this Cadet cohort kick-off will be held on a Thursday. Regular meetings are otherwise held on Tuesdays.

Please read through the parent guide and have your prospective Cadet read through the child guide. After reading, together you can decide whether CAP may be something you'd still like to pursue.
